Here at Villa Nove Vineyards, we are considered a farm winery. This is different from other wineries in that all of our wine is produced from fruit grown on the land of the winery itself.  Many wineries, including most commercial wineries, produce wine from fruit purchased from all over the United States.  This gives farm wineries not only the ability to produce distinct, craftsman-style wine, but they support the local community and economy.  Villa Nove is notably among the wineries of the Appalachian High Country American Viticulture Area.  This area represents 2400 square miles, all above 2,000 feet in elevation. This unique landscape provides unique growing conditions distinguished by distinctive climatic and geographic conditions.
