Founded by Don Collier in 1991, Mountain Valley Winery is one of Tennessee’s oldest and most celebrated wineries, located in the heart of Pigeon Forge, just minutes from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. With over three decades of winemaking excellence, Mountain Valley has earned more than 1,000 medals from national and international competitions and has proudly produced over 500 award-winning wines.
Specializing in sweet fruit wines, Mountain Valley Winery has built a reputation for crafting some of the best Muscadine wines in the country. These Southern favorites are celebrated for their bold flavor and rich history in regional viticulture. In addition to our signature Muscadine and fruit-forward selections, the winery also produces a variety of German- and French-style wines, offering something for every taste.
Our commitment to quality starts with the grapes. We partner with more than 50 local vineyards to source the finest Tennessee-grown grapes, ensuring every bottle is a true expression of local agriculture and craftsmanship.
Visitors to Mountain Valley Winery can enjoy complimentary wine tastings daily (for guests 21 and over with valid ID), as well as guided tours of our large Wine Cellar from Noon to 5 p.m. seven days a week. Our tours are family-friendly, offering not only a behind-the-scenes look at our winemaking process but also helpful insights into the Pigeon Forge and Smoky Mountains area.
Whether you’re just starting your journey along the Rocky Top Wine Trail or revisiting a favorite stop, Mountain Valley Winery offers a warm welcome, a rich history, and a glass full of Tennessee tradition.
