Description:

Our story is we are Knoxville's first winery and Tennessee's first urban winery. All of our wines are made from Tennessee grown grapes and fruit. We process, ferment and bottle on site.

A Blue Slip...unlike a pink slip...is a weekend pass. Co-founder Jeff Galyon attended McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and in order to go home for the weekend or leave for an extended period of time, a student presented their signed and approved Blue Slip in order to be granted permission to leave. Blue Slip to me is a deep water mooring....to others it's a satin blue slip.  Just as wine is something of a subjective subject, so is a Blue Slip.  We love to hear what customers think of our wines and our name.

Wines:

Red Wines:

Chambourcin – A wonderful medium bodied red, Aged for 18 months in the barrel.

Syrah – Grown from Grainger Co. grapes. Aged in American oak. A full bodied red with robust flavor.

"Big Blue" Blueberry- You've got to try this wine. Not too sweet. Just right.

Old City Red – A blend of Concord and Steuben grapes with a hint of sweetness. It is one of the favorites.

Red Muscadine – A Southern tradition. Semi-sweet, fruity and unique.

River City Red – A favorite for those who prefer a sweet, fruity wine. Good for sipping or as an after dinner treat.

Blush Muscadine – Just like the white with a little more pizazz.

White Wines:

Pot Blanc – An award winning dry white wine. A blend of Vidal Blanc, Cayuga White and Golden Muscat.

Vidal Blanc – A delightful dry white made from Grainger Co. Grapes.

Cayuga White – Similar to a Sauvignon Blanc. Crisp and fresh.

Golden Muscat – A popular full bodied with just a hint of sweetness.

White Steuben – A semi-sweet wine with just a touch of color.

Apple Table Wine – Made from apples grown just up the road in Dandridge.

White Muscadine – A southern treat. It smells and tastes just like the fruit, and it won a silver award to boot.
